About this directory

DigiSignboard catalogues the software, hardware and services used to run screens in shops, restaurants, offices and public buildings. It exists because the category is unusually hard to shop for: vendors describe the same capability in different words, a lot of them will not publish a price, and the review sites that rank them are mostly paid placement.

The approach here is narrow and slow. Every product is recorded against the same fields so two entries can be read side by side, and every fact carries the page it came from and the date it was read. Where something has not been checked yet, the entry says so.

What is here now

Signage software, which is where most buying decisions start. Player hardware, commercial displays and the programmatic advertising side of the category are being catalogued next, on the same basis.
