LG LWBC029

3,500 nits at 2.976 mm, built to be read through glass.

  • Front service

LG's own listing page rounds the pitch to 2.9 mm in one place and 2.98 mm in another; the specification table's 2.976 mm is the figure recorded here. Brightness is the maximum after calibration, which is not a figure a wall is run at continuously. How entries are researched.

A window-facing wall, which is a category of its own rather than an outdoor one: it lives inside the shop, points out, and has to beat daylight coming the other way through the same pane. That is what the 3,500 nit figure buys. The cabinets are portrait, 500 by 1,000 mm, which is the shape of the space beside a shop door, and they weigh 13 kg each — 26 kg per square metre, light enough to hang on a shopfront mullion. Servicing is from the front or the rear, so it can go against glass with no corridor behind it. At 2.976 mm the pixel grid resolves from about three metres, which is roughly the pavement. It runs from LG's CVBA controller, which is a separate purchase.

Software that runs on it

A wall is driven through its controller rather than by software installed on it, and the controller is a separate purchase. Whatever feeds a screen over HDMI can feed this one. This wall needs the LG CVBA.
