Chromecast Kiosk
Drives signage onto Chromecast dongles instead of dedicated players.
- Open source
- Free tier
- Self-host
Chromecast Kiosk takes a different route to cheap screens: rather than a player box behind each display, it casts web pages to Google Chromecast dongles and rotates them from a central configuration. That makes the per screen cost about as low as it goes, at the price of depending on Chromecast behaviour and a reliable network. The project is MIT licensed and still maintained, though development has slowed.
