Garlic Player
A SMIL player that talks to any CMS speaking the same standard.
- Open source
- Free tier
- Self-host
Garlic Player is a player rather than a CMS, and that is the point of it. It speaks SMIL, the standard several commercial signage systems already use, so it can take a playlist from a CMS you already run and put it on hardware that CMS does not support. Builds cover Raspberry Pi 3, 4 and 5, Windows, Linux, macOS and Android. It handles overlapping zones, so one screen can show several videos at once.
Capabilities
- Multi-zone layouts
