LG 55UV5N-E
A 4K panel with BrightSignOS built in, so no player sits behind it.
- SoC
- 24/7
LG lists several specifications on this panel as "In Process" rather than yes or no, including built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and built-in speakers, so none of those is recorded here either way. The page also states no operating temperature range. How entries are researched.
A 55-inch commercial panel that runs BrightSignOS on a chip inside it, which is the whole argument for the model: the CMS integrations a BrightSign player brings are there with no box behind the screen, no second power supply and no second thing to fail. LG rates it for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a panel life up to 50,000 hours, and mounts either way round. At 500 nits it is an indoor panel — bright enough for a lobby or a corridor, not for glass facing the street. The power board carries a conformal coating against salt, dust and humidity and the chassis is IP5x, which is unusual on an indoor panel and is aimed at back-of-house and light-industrial rooms.

Names BrightSignOS on the panel, the 55-inch IPS screen at 3840x2160 and 60 Hz, 500 nits typical, 24/7 operation with a lifetime up to 50,000 hours, portrait and landscape orientation, VESA 300 x 300 and the three-year limited warranty. The listed price was $1,233 at the time of reading, marked as $100 off a list price of $1,333; the list figure is the one recorded, because a promotion expires and a record does not. The page publishes no company address, so no HQ is recorded. The same page states the conformal coating and IP5x rating quoted in the summary.
