BrightSign HD6

The current-generation mainstream BrightSign player, with an NPU.

  • 4K
  • PoE

The product page states no video output count, connector list or memory, so none is recorded here. The five-year warranty note on the page is worded for Series 5 while sitting on a Series 6 product; BrightSign's warranty page is the authority on which players it covers. How entries are researched.

Series 6 is BrightSign's current generation, and the HD6 is its middle of the range: 4K at 60p in 10-bit with HDR, Chromium-compatible HTML with CSS and JavaScript, and a neural processing unit on both builds. It stores content on an internal microSD rather than an accessible card slot, and an optional LTE modem covers sites with no usable network. PoE+ is a Series 6 feature, so it runs on one cable where the install allows it. The HD1026 build steps the HTML up from modular to interactive graphics; the two are otherwise the same machine.

Its Series 6 section states PoE+ support for locations with limited electrical access, 4K 60Hz video and the integrated neural processing unit. The page also states that BrightSignOS comes standard in every player, carries the San Jose address, and says product prices are subject to change and to contact sales, so no price is published.
