BrightSign LS5

The entry point into the platform most signage CMS integrate with.

  • 4K

4K decoding is on the LS445 build only; the LS425 is Full HD. The product page states no video output count, connector list or memory, so those are not recorded here — the LS5 datasheet carries them. How entries are researched.

The cheapest way onto BrightSignOS, and the reason it matters is integration rather than specification: BrightSign is the platform a large share of the CMS in this directory list first, so an LS5 will be driven by almost anything. It plays Full HD or 4K, runs the widget-level HTML a menu board or a ticker needs, and takes a touchscreen or a USB device for basic interaction. It comes in two builds, the LS425 with a standard I/O package and the LS445 which adds 4K decoding, both with a neural processing unit and both carrying the five-year warranty BrightSign applies to Series 5 players registered after January 2025. What it will not do is the 3D, live TV or dual-screen work the XT5 is built for.
