Digital signage software with a free tier

Platforms with a genuinely free plan, and what each one limits to keep it free.

12 entries

“Free” covers two different offers in this category and they suit different people. Some vendors give you a permanent plan capped at one screen, which is enough for a single window display or a reception monitor and nothing more. Others are free at any number of screens because the software is open source and you are supplying the server.

The cap is the thing to read. A free plan limited by screen count is fine until the second screen arrives, at which point you are on the paid ladder and the question becomes what the per-screen price does at your size.

Each entry below records what its free tier actually allows.
